Designing and coordinating the automation flows behind first-line technical support — modem and connectivity troubleshooting, guided diagnostics, and smart escalation.

Why this role fits me

First-line technical support is where I think automation matters most. When a customer calls because their internet is down, the difference between a 5-minute fix and a frustrating escalation usually comes down to one thing: how well the troubleshooting flow was designed. That design work is exactly what I want to own.

I've built automation systems end to end — diagnostic pipelines, decision trees, ticket routing, knowledge retrieval — and I understand both sides of the job: the technical side of building flows that actually work, and the coordination side of getting agents, engineers, and product people aligned on what the flow should do.

What I bring to a troubleshooting platform

Guided diagnostic flows

Step-by-step troubleshooting trees for modem, WiFi, and connectivity issues — designed so L1 agents resolve more on first contact instead of escalating.

Automated pre-diagnostics

Checks that run before the agent even picks up: line status, modem sync, signal levels, recent outages. Agent starts with answers, not questions.

Smart escalation routing

When L1 can't fix it, the ticket lands at the right team with full diagnostic context attached — no repeated questions, no lost information.

Flow performance tracking

Which steps resolve issues, where agents abandon the flow, which branches are dead weight. Data-driven iteration, not guessing.

How I work

I design automation flows the way an agent actually uses them.
A troubleshooting flow only works if the person following it gets to a fix fast. I map real agent behavior first, then design the flow around it.
I take flows from whiteboard to production.
Not just diagrams and handovers. I build, test against real scenarios, deploy, and keep improving based on what the data shows.
AI speeds me up, but I understand every flow I ship.
I can open any decision tree or workflow I've built, explain why every branch exists, and debug it without help.
I coordinate between technical and non-technical people.
Support agents, network engineers, product owners — they all speak differently. I translate between them so the flow serves everyone.

Before the call connects
Automated check runs: modem online? Line sync OK? Outage in the area? Recent config change?

Agent picks up
Screen already shows the diagnostic result and the top-3 most likely causes ranked by probability.

Guided flow
Agent follows a short branch based on the actual data, not a generic 20-step script. Most cases close here.

If escalation is needed
Ticket goes to the right team with every diagnostic result attached. Customer never repeats themselves.

The point isn't fancy technology. It's that every step an agent doesn't have to do manually is time saved on every single call — and at first-line volume, that adds up fast. Designing flows like this, testing them against real cases, and iterating on the data is the job I want to do.
